RMR Yarn Co. is a family-owned hand-dyed yarn company based in the Chicago metropolitan area. What began as a shared passion for color and fiber has grown into a business dedicated to creating thoughtfully crafted yarns, spinning fibers, and accessories for makers around the world.
Every colorway is carefully developed to celebrate the beauty of hand-dyed yarn. From softly layered tonals and gently speckled skeins to rich, saturated solids, our goal is to create colors that inspire creativity while remaining versatile enough to become treasured handmade pieces.
We proudly offer a thoughtfully curated collection of luxury yarn bases, including several custom fiber blends developed exclusively for RMR Yarn Co. We believe exceptional color begins with exceptional fiber, and we're committed to sourcing bases that are as beautiful to work with as they are to wear.
Our U.S.-sourced spinning fiber is dyed in small batches to preserve the unique character of every braid. We also create a growing collection of handcrafted accessories, notions, and one-of-a-kind project bags designed to bring beauty and function to every maker's creative journey.
In 2026, RMR Yarn Co. opened its first permanent home alongside L2D2 Yarn in Orland Park, Illinois. While you'll continue to find us at fiber festivals and trunk shows throughout the country, we're delighted to now welcome customers into a space where they can experience our complete collection year-round.
